The UK’s leading garage door manufacturers recently hosted a successful joint event focussing on the importance of safety and CE Marking within the industry.
The Expo event was attended by over 200 door installation specialists and representatives from the industry. Delegates were able to attend a series of valuable seminars as well as visiting an exhibition of some of the manufacturers key products. The day focused on the importance of CE marked product and why end-users are looking for stability, safety and peace of mind from their garage door. Garage Door System’s Mark McEvoy lead one of several workshops on various obligations that installers face with CE Marking. Another session explained what installers should expect from Garage Door manufacturers and their suppliers.
The event received excellent feedback from all those who attended, with many installers commenting on their better understanding of what to expect from manufacturers, what their responsibilities are with a broader awareness of the UK regulations that apply to them.
