My existing door is old and very heavy to lift. Will a LiftMaster operator fix my problem?

A garage door must be fit for purpose before attaching a LiftMaster operator. In short this means that the door must be well running and well balanced. The LiftMaster’s job is to open and close a good operating garage door.

Any garage door operator cannot compensate for a poorly operating door. This will only exert additional pressures on the machine that its normal use is not intended for.
